This chair is an absolute treasure! Its graceful lyre-back design and rich chocolate stain are as classic and traditional as side chairs get. The hand-carved, delicately curved seat pad indicates that great care was taken in the construction of this chair, which the straw stuffing suggests happened in the late 1800s. And hiding underneath the burgundy needlepoint upholstery was the original black-and-gold brocade silk fabric! The upholstery was freshened with a crisp black ticking stripe that ushers this elder statesman into the twenty-first century. It is the perfect accent piece for a den, office, or bedroom, and would be an especially fitting gift for the music lover in your life!
