This set needed A LOT of work. It was cleaned, sanded, and repainted in a soft, sophisticated mauve-pink: Fusion Mineral Paint in Damask. The details were highlighted in a soft metallic gold, and the bench seat was covered in a lush, creamy white patterned damask. Whimsical black and pink crane fabric were added to line the drawers, as were soft white polka dots under the vanity lid. The hinges are repaired, a new brass transom chain was installed, and the original hardware was cleaned and completed with matching pieces salvaged from another French provincial piece.
