Eastlake Oval Marble Top Parlor Table

This Victorian-era Eastlake table was acquired locally from a woman whose mother was the first-born granddaughter of its original owner. The seller's great-grandmother purchased it for their home in Detroit in 1939.

The table base required reinforcement after nearly a century-and-a-half of supporting the heavy marble top. After being repaired, it was painted a deep taupey-gray, "Oakham" by Fusion Mineral Paint, then sealed with clear Furniture Wax for a buttery soft finish.  The walnut band and finial details were stripped, sanded, and reconditioned with Fusion's Natural Stain & Finishing Oil and Wise Owl Furniture Salve.
