This solid wood piece was acquired from a retired antiques dealer. It originates from New England.
The top of the chest had long ago separated from the base, and so was repaired. Stripped and sanded to bare wood, it was given a wash of Fusion Mineral Paint in Algonquin -- a smart, soft neutral the color of natural linen -- then sealed with a poly topcoat. The drawers were cleaned, sanded, and treated with Wise Owl Furniture Salve. The original brass hardware was cleaned and polished. [Artisan: KD]
