Believe it or not, this solid wood nightstand was headed for the trash heap! It needed a lot of TLC, to be sure -- but it turned into a total showstopper! Painted a dreamy rich blue -- Fusion Mineral Paint in "Seaside" -- it now boasts an open shelf, natural maple top, and refreshed hardware. This piece was rescued from the curb -- on Trash Day! -- in metro Detroit.
The top was stripped if its many (many!) layers of paint, and treated to a natural finish using Fusion's Stain and Finishing Oil in White and Natural for durability. The damaged top drawer was removed and the space repurposed into an open shelf, while the damaged back panel was removed and replaced. It was painted a rich, dreamy blue -- Seaside by Fusion -- and the original brass hardware got a refresh with Fusion Metallic paint in Champagne. [Artisan: ABP]
